New Delhi: After getting an arms license, Salman Khan has now upgraded his Toyota Land Cruiser SUV with armour and bulletproof glass. Salman and his security team arrived at the Mumbai airport on Monday evening in a bulletproof Land Cruiser. As per various reports, the new vehicle costs around Rs 1.5 crore.
In a video that has been shared by many accounts, Salman is seen with his personal bodyguard Shera standing close to him. They are also accompanied by a couple of more security personnel. Salman is sporting a peach shirt and black denim in the video.
Earlier, Mumbai Police issued a gun license to Salman Khan who had applied for the same citing a death threat from gangsters.
Police had increased the security of the actor after he allegedly received a death threat from Lawrence Bishnoi and the Goldie Brar gang.
Salman recently met with Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Vishwas Nangre Patil.
Based on Salman's application, the police have issued a gun license to him, the official said.
A First Information Report (FIR) was registered in June after Salman and his father Salim Khan received an anonymous letter threatening to kill them.
A team of Mumbai Police had interrogated Bishnoi in Delhi in connection with the case, the official added.
