Bhumi Pednekar Tests COVID-19 Positive

Bhumi Pednekar Corona Positive: After Akshay Kumar, his co-star from 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', Bhumi Pednekar also tested positive for COVID-19. Read on.

Another Bollywood celebrity has contracted the COVID-19 virus. It is now Bhumi Pednekar who has tested positive for coronavirus. The actress shared the news in a post.

The ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ actress shared a note on her social media which read, “As of today, I have mild symptoms, but am feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals. If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested immediately. Steam, Vit - C, Food and a Happy Mood are my go-to :) Please don't take the current situation lightly, even though i followed utmost precaution and care I've contracted it. Wear a mask. keep washing your hands, maintain social distancing and be mindful of your general behaviour.”

Bhumi started her career in the year 2015 by starring in the romantic comedy 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' opposite Ayuhsmann Khurrana, where she played the role of an overweight wife. Since then, she has established herself as one of the leading actresses in the country who is highly known for their craft. The 'Sonchiriya' actress has mostly taken up unconventional roles in her career. Pednekar has starred in movies like 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', 'Saand Ki Aankh' and others. 

Bhumi Pednekar was last seen in the movie 'Durgamati' where she portrayed the role of the protagonist. She will be next seen starring alongside Rajkummar Rao in 'Badhaai Do'.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar informed about him testing positive for COVID-19 yesterday in a social media post. The 'Sooryavanshi' actor shared a note which read, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon."

Akshay has been admitted to a hospital as a precautionary measure. 

Other than Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar, other Bollywood celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Paresh Rawal and others have also tested positive for the virus.
