Telangana: Amit Shah Criticises I.N.D.I. Alliance's Lack Of Prime Ministerial Candidate, Touts Modi's Leadership
Amit Shah questioned the I.N.D.I alliance's ability to handle crises like COVID-19, terrorism, and international forums like the G20, asserting Modi's accomplishments in these areas.
On the last leg of electioneering ahead of fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking at a public meeting in Vikarabad, criticised the I.N.D.I. alliance for lacking a clear candidate for Prime Minister and contrasted it with PM Modi's leadership. Shah questioned the alliance's ability to handle crises like COVID-19, terrorism, and international forums like the G20, asserting Modi's accomplishments in these areas.
During a public meeting in Vikarabad, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "They (INDI alliance) have no candidate for Prime Minister. When a reporter asked them who would be their PM, they said that our leaders would be PM turn by turn... I want to ask them, who will save the nation if COVID comes? Who will end terrorism? Who will lead the country during the G20? They have no candidate for Prime Minister."
Stating that PM Modi led the nation during the G20, Amit Shah asserted that PM Modi made India 5th biggest economy in the world and if anyone could take the country forward then it was only Narendra Modi.

Further, Amit Shah presented the election as a choice between the NDA led by Modi and the I.N.D.I. alliance led by Rahul Gandhi, highlighting their different approaches to governance and leadership. Amit Shah said, "This election is divided into two groups. On one side, we have the NDA, which is moving forward under the leadership of Narendra Modi. On the other side, we have the INDI alliance, which is moving forward under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi."
The Union Home Minister said that while Rahul Gandhi went to Bangkok and Thailand for vacations, PM Narendra Modi did not even take a day off on Diwali and celebrated the festival with Jawans.
"On one side, the INDI alliance does appeasement politics. On the other side, NDA talks about sacrificing their lives for the nation... You have to choose between these two groups," he said.
