Mizoram Elections Results: CM Zoramthanga Loses Aizawl East-I To ZPM Wave

Mizoram Poll Results: Chief Minister Zoramthanga has lost elections in the Aizawl East-I seat. He was defeated by ZPM's Lalthansanga.

Mizoram Election Results 2023: Chief Minister Zoramthanga has lost his Aizawl East-I seat by a margin of 2,101 votes to ZPM's Lalthansanga. He has been trailing since the counting began. Zoramthanaga secured  8,626 votes while wining candidate garnered a total of 10,727 votes. Meanwhile, in a shock to the ruling MNF, the opposition ZPM has crossed the majority mark of 21 and will now claim the state. ZPM has won 27 seats, while MNF bagged seven and leading on 3 others.
