‘Rahul Gandhi Will Hold A Press Conference And…’: Amit Shah’s ‘Second Prediction’ For June 4 Lok Sabha Results
Union Home Minister Amit Shah predicts a landslide BJP victory in the Lok Sabha elections while anticipating that the Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi would blame EVMs on June 4, the poll result day.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar on Monday, made bold predictions regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha poll results, slated to be announced on June 4. Shah asserted that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge would lose his position following the polls while remarking that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would escape blame for the defeat.
In his speech, Shah claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had secured over 310 seats by the fifth phase of the elections. "Rahul will not cross 40 and Akhilesh Yadav will not get even 4 seats on June 4," he stated emphatically. Shah further accused Rahul Gandhi's aides of planning to blame the defeat on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
"Rahul Gandhi's aides will do a press conference to claim that they lost the elections due to EVMs. Kharge must understand that the blame will not fall on the brother and sister (Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi), it will fall on him and he will lose his job," the former BJP president remarked.

This comes weeks after Shah "predicted" that the future of the Indian share market seemed bright post the elections. “I can't anticipate stock market moves. But normally whenever a stable government is formed at Centre, the market sees a rally. I see 400-plus seat wins for the Bharatiya Janata Party [BJP], a stable Modi government coming, and thus market rising,” he said in an interview. Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav Born With A Silver Spoon, Don’t Understand Struggles Of Purvanchal’s People: Amit Shah
The Union Home Minister continued his campaign trail with rallies in Ballia and Chandauli, criticising the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP). He contrasted PM Modi's background with that of Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, stating, "While PM Narendra Modi was born in a humble household, both Rahul and Akhilesh were born with a silver spoon and do not understand the struggles of the people of Purvanchal."
Shah accused Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav of corruption, alleging they were involved in scams amounting to Rs 12 lakh crore. He also claimed that the SP was funded by the Sahara group during its regime, which has been accused of running Ponzi schemes. "We have ensured a refund of people's money and the process has started," Shah said.

Highlighting the BJP's achievements, Shah stated, "In the previous regime, there was one district one mafia, but now we have the one district one product scheme to benefit the people." He praised the Yogi Adityanath government for settling cane dues owed to farmers, in contrast to the closure of sugar mills under the SP-BSP administrations.
Shah warned voters about the opposition's intentions, claiming they would revoke reservations for Dalits, backwards, and tribals to benefit Muslims. "Till a single MP of the BJP is there, we will not allow reservation based on religion," he assured, as quoted by news agency PTI.
Emphasising national security and economic progress under PM Modi, Shah questioned the opposition's capability to lead, describing their alliance as a coalition of dynasts. "Who can give a befitting reply to Pakistan, save you from Covid, end terrorism and naxalism, and do welfare of 60 crore people of the country? Only Modi," he asserted.
Shah also revisited the contentious issue of Article 370, asserting that its revocation did not lead to the predicted bloodshed. He credited PM Modi with decisive actions against terrorism, citing surgical strikes following the Uri and Pulwama attacks.
In a final appeal to the voters, Shah invoked the Ram temple issue, criticising the SP and Congress for their previous handling of the matter. "Modi ji not only did bhoomi pujan of the temple but also attended the pran pratishtha ceremony, renovated the Kashi Vishwanath temple, and worked towards the gold plating of the Somnath temple," he emphasised.
