BJP's Show Of Strength In Odisha As Nadda, Adityanath, Himanta To Address Poll Rallies On Thursday
Nadda will speak at four meetings in Karanjia, Dhamnagar, Barchana, and Balikuda, while Adityanath will address rallies in Chilika and Kulia.
New Delhi: BJP president JP Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will address election rallies in Odisha on May 23, a senior party leader said on Tuesday.
JP Nadda will speak at four meetings in Karanjia, Dhamnagar, Barchana, and Balikuda. Adityanath, making his first campaign appearance in Odisha this election, will address rallies in Chilika and Kulia, PTI quoted BJP state unit vice-president Golak Mohapatra as saying.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will address rallies in Deogarh, Barbil, Choudwar, and Baramba. Senior BJP leader Arun Govil, renowned for his role as Lord Ram in the TV series 'Ramayana,' will hold public meetings in Champua, Telkoi, Bhubaneswar, and Dhenkanal on May 22.
Odisha Goes To Polls On May 25
Odisha, known for its rich cultural heritage and diverse geography, prepares for Phase 6 of polling. Phase 6 of the Odisha Lok Sabha Election 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 25.
Some of the prominent constituencies in this phase include Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Puri, Bhubaneswar, and Cuttack. These constituencies serve as critical battlegrounds where candidates from various political parties compete for victory, aiming to secure a strong mandate from the voters.
Sambalpur sets the stage for a showdown between Dharmendra Pradhan of the BJP and Pranab Prakash Das of the BJD. In Keonjhar (ST), Mohan Hembram of the INC will face off against Ananta Nayak of the BJP and Dhanurjay Siddu of the BJD.
In Dhenkanal, a contest unfolds between Sashmita Behra of the INC, Rudra Narayan Pany from the BJP, and Avinash Samal of the BJD. Puri presents a formidable clash with Sucheta Mohanty from the INC, Sambit Patra of the BJP, and Arup Patnaik representing the BJD.
Meanwhile, in Bhubaneswar, Yasir Nawaz from the INC competes against Aprajita Sarangi of the BJP and Manmath Routray from the BJD. Cuttack witnesses Bhartuhari Mehtab of the BJP locking horns with Santrupt Mishra from the BJD.
