ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll: As Cong Mulls Bharat Jodo 2.0, Do Voters Think It Can Impact 2024 LS Election?

Lok Sabha Election 2024 Opinion Poll: As the Congress mulls Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0, here is a look at whether people think it can help the grand old party in the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Lok Sabha Election 2024 Opinion Poll: Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi-led 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' has been continuously hailed as a major success by the Congress which credited the campaign for its victories in the southern states of Karnataka and Telangana. The Yatra began on September 12 from Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari and concluded on January 30, 2023, in Jammu and Kashmir. It covered over 2,000 kilometers across 12 states in 136 days. The grand old party is currently mulling a second edition of the Yatra with eyes on the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

While the Congress said that the purpose of the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' was apolitical as it aimed to unite the nation, Rahul Gandhi during the journey extensively targeted the BJP-led Union government over various issues such as unemployment, inflation, and media freedom.

An opinion poll conducted by ABP in association with CVoter sought to know if voters feel that the Congress would benefit from the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election.

The public opinion was divided as 46% of respondents felt the grand old party would not benefit in the upcoming General Election, while 44% believed it would. Additionally, 10% responded did not express a clear opinion.

Recently, the party rejigged its state leadership after defeat in Madhya Pradesh as Kamal Nath was replaced with Jitu Patwari.

Regarding the elevation of new faces within the party, 45% expressed skepticism about its impact on the Congress in 2024, with 43% optimistic about the potential benefits. The remaining 12% said they 'don't know.'
