Warangal: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kadiyam Srihari from Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the elections by a margin of 392574 votes. The polling / voting in Warangal constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telangana Rashtra Samithi#s Pasunuri Dayakar and Congress Party#s Dommati sambaiah

Warangal 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telangana Rashtra Samithi won 11 out of the 17 parliamentary seat with 33.9 percent vote share while the Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 20.5 percent vote share.

Out of the 12 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Warangal, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Kadiyam Srihari of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi as he defeated Rajaiah Siricilla by a margin of 392574 votes.

Here, Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader Dharavath Ravinder Naik attained 427601 votes and Telugu Desam Party candidate Bodakunti Venkateshwarlu bagged 408339 votes
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 13366 votes. Here, Telugu Desam Party leader Bodakunti Venkateshwarlu attained 385593 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Dr. T. Kalpanadevi bagged 372227 votes
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 24801 votes. Here, Telugu Desam Party leader Azmeera Chandulal attained 323093 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Dr. T. Kalpana Devi bagged 298292 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 17440 votes. Here, Telugu Desam Party leader Ajmeera Chandulal attained 292887 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Surander Reddy Rama bagged 275447 votes
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate by a margin of 51873 votes INC candidate Surendra Reddy Rama Sahayam had got 258733 while TDP got Nemarugommula Yethiraja Rao votes.
