Ujjain: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Prof. Chintamani Malviya from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 309663 votes. The polling / voting in Ujjain constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Anil Firojiya and Congress Party#s Babulal malviya

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 27 out of the 29 parliamentary seat with 54 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 34.9 percent vote share.

Out of the 12 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Ujjain, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Prof. Chintamani Malviya of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Premchand Guddu by a margin of 309663 votes.

• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 70403 votes BJP candidate Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya had got 369744 while INC got Premchand Guddu votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 68038 votes BJP candidate Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya had got 360103 while INC got Tulasiram Silawat votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 93887 votes BJP candidate Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya had got 348405 while INC got Dr. Avantika Prasad Marmat votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Satyanarian Jatiya attained 306935 votes and INC's Sidhnatha Parihar bagged 195678 votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 51720 votes BJP candidate Satyanarayan Jatiya had got 238904 while INC got Sajjansingh Verma votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Satyanarayan Jatiya attained 286232 votes and INC's Satyanarayan Pawar bagged 184038 votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 42359 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Satyanarayan Pawar attained 226342 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Satyanarayan Jatiya bagged 183983 votes
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, JNP candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 11326 votes. Here, JNP leader Satyanarayan Jatiya attained 166978 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Sujjan Singh Vishnar bagged 155652 votes
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 69097 votes BLD candidate Hukumchand Kachhaway had got 202276 while INC got Durgadas Suryavanshi votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between BJS and INC here BJS candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 8596 votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, BJS candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 55331 votes BJS candidate Hukumchand had got 176171 while INC got D. Suryavanshi votes.
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 28671 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Radhelal Vyas attained 84976 votes and IND candidate Mahendra Bhatnagar bagged 56305 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated BJS candidate by a margin of 67844 votes INC candidate Vyas Radhelal Beharilal had got 104601 while BJS got Bhargava Kailash Prasad Ramprasad votes.
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate defeated RRP candidate with a difference of 41736 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Radhelal Vyas attained 72868 votes and RRP candidate Prabhavati Chandrashekhar bagged 31132 votes
