Ujiarpur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Nityanand Rai from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 60469 votes. The polling / voting in Ujiarpur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Nityanand Rai and Rashtriya Lok Samta Party#s Upendra kushwaha

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.

In Uttar Pradesh, SP and BSP do not have the courage to fight alone therefore they have resorted to go together. If there was Congress coalition with SP-BSP in UP then it would have been tough for the BJP and their seats would come down: Salman Khurshid
