Background

Siwan: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Om Prakash Yadav from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 113847 votes. The polling / voting in Siwan constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 6 on 12 May. The major contest is between Janata Dal (United)#s Kavita Singh and Rashtriya Janata Dal#s Hena Shahab

Siwan 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Siwan Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 56.53% Lok Sabha percent with 52.73% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 60.95% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 21409 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 13 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Siwan, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Om Prakash Yadav of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Hena Shahab by a margin of 113847 votes.

  • 2009 Lok Sabha Elections: In 15th Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate had defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate by a margin of 63430 votes IND candidate Om Prakash Yadav had got 236194 while RJD got Hena Shahab votes.
  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha poll, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate defated Janata Dal (United) candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RJD candidate Mohammad Shahabuddin attained 317511 votes and JD(U)'s Om Prakash Yadav bagged 213933 votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate defated Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RJD candidate M Sahabuddin attained 385069 votes and CPI(ML)(L)'s Amar Nath Yadav bagged 255229 votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha poll, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, RJD candidate M.Sahabuddin attained 327341 votes and BJP's Vijay Shankar Dubey bagged 206857 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate M. Sahabuddin attained 326351 votes and BJP's Janardan Tiwari bagged 161108 votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated JP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Brishin Patel attained 315336 votes and JP's Umashankar Singh bagged 169444 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Janardan Tiwari attained 334637 votes and INC's Abdul Gaffur bagged 175686 votes.
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Abdul Ghafoor attained 250235 votes and BJP's Janardan Tiwari bagged 112243 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JNP candidate with a difference of 15599 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader M. Yusuf attained 131297 votes and JNP candidate Mrityunjay Prasad Verma bagged 115698 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Mirtanjay Prasad Verma attained 325030 votes and INC's Mohamad Yusuf bagged 93954 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BJS candidate with a difference of 27221 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Mohamad Yusuf attained 159794 votes and BJS candidate Janardan Tiwari bagged 132573 votes
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SSP candidate with a difference of 25777 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader M. Yusuf attained 98206 votes and SSP candidate H. Singh bagged 72429 votes
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JS candidate with a difference of 35729 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Md. Yusuf attained 78030 votes and JS candidate Nagendra Nath Pathak bagged 42301 votes
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated BJS candidate with a difference of 22704 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Jhulan Singh attained 66147 votes and BJS candidate Sheo Kumar Dwibedi bagged 43443 votes

आदिलाबाद से टीआरएस के गोदम नागेश आगे चल रहे हैं. पेद्दापल्ली से टीआरएस के वेंकटेश नेता बोरलाकुंटा आगे चल रहे हैं. वारंगल से टीआरएस के दयाकर पसूनरी आगे हैं.

तेलंगाना के सभी 17 सीटों के रुझानों के बाद अब सबकुछ साफ होता दिख रहा है. सभी पार्टियों के सीटों पर नजर डालें तो यहां कुल 17 सीटों में 8 सीटें टीआरएस के पास गई है यानी की इतनी सीटों पर टीआरएस आगे हैं. जबकि भारतीय जनता पार्टी और कांग्रेस 4-4 सीटों से आगे चल रही है. इस दौरान एआईएमआईएम को मात्र 1 सीट मिली है.

तेलंगाना में सभी 17 सीटों के रुझान सामने आ चुके हैं. यहां टीआरएस 11 सीटों के साथ सबसे आगे चल रही है. इसके बाद भारतीय जनता पार्टी 4 सीटों के साथ सबसे आगे है. वहीं कांग्रेस 1 सीट पर आगे चल रही है.

16 सीटों के रुझान सामने आ चुके हैं. इस दौरान टीआरएस 11 सीटों पर आगे चल रही है. वहीं कांग्रेस 1 और भारतीय जनता पार्टी 3 सीटों पर आगे चल रही है. औवैसी की एआईएमआईएम की अगर बात करें तो पार्टी फिलहाल 1 सीट पर आगे है.
