Rajahmundry: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Murali Mohan Maganti from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won the elections by a margin of 167434 votes. The polling / voting in Rajahmundry constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telugu Desam Party#s Maganti Roopa and YSR Congress Party#s Mangana Bharath

Rajahmundry 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party won 15 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 29.1 percent vote share while the YSR Congress Party managed to win just 8 seats with a 28.9 percent vote share.

Out of the 14 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Rajahmundry, 12 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Murali Mohan Maganti of the Telugu Desam Party as he defeated Boddu Venkataramana Chowdary by a margin of 167434 votes.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 60031 votes BJP candidate Satyanarayana Rao S.B.P.B.K had got 411956 while INC got Chitturi Ravindra votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Telugu Desam Party here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Telugu Desam Party counterpart with a difference of 9912 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate by a margin of 95166 votes INC candidate Chitturi Ravindra had got 353861 while TDP got Chundru Srihari Rao votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 62009 votes TDP candidate K.V.R. Chowdary had got 315556 while INC got Jamuna (W) votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate by a margin of 58322 votes INC candidate Jamuna had got 386314 while TDP got Chundru Srihari votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Telugu Desam Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, TDP candidate Srihari Rao attained 381091 votes and INC's Satyanarayana Rao S.B.P.B.K. bagged 227213 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC(I) candidate S.B.P.Pattabhi Rama Rao attained 249377 votes and INC(U)'s Gadam Kamaladevi bagged 130886 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated BLD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Pattabhirama Rao S. B. P. attained 292323 votes and BLD's Manthena Venkata Surya Subbaraju bagged 175564 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated CPI candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate S. B. P. Pattabhi Ramarao attained 250124 votes and CPI's Prabhakara Chowdary Chitturi bagged 53642 votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated IND candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate D.S. Raju attained 227154 votes and IND's N.R. Motha bagged 92241 votes.
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated IND candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Datla Satyanarayana Raju attained 175602 votes and IND's Nalla Reddi Naidu bagged 52228 votes.
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and ; here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his counterpart with a difference of 0 votes.
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, interesting battle could be seen between Communist Party of India (Marxist) and INC here Communist Party of India (Marxist) candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 7444 votes.
