Pilibhit: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Maneka Sanjay Gandhi from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 307052 votes. The polling / voting in Pilibhit constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Varun Gandhi and Samajwadi Party#s Hemraj Verma

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने बिहार के बाल्मिकीनगर में एक रैली में कहा कि चार चरण के मतदान के बाद सारे महामिलावटी दलों के झूठे दावों की पोल खुल गई है. वंशवाद और भ्रष्टाचार की काली कमाई से इन लोगों में जो अहंकार हुआ है, उसे बिहार के लोगों ने ठीक करने की ठान ली है. इसलिए ये हारे हुए लोग, अब इससे बाहर निकलने का रास्ता तलाश रहे हैं. हताश ‘‘महामिलावटी गिरोह’’ ने पहले मोदी और फिर ईवीएम को गालियां दी और अब उन्होंने चुनाव आयोग पर अपनी भड़ास निकालना शुरू कर दिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस हो, आरजेडी हो, इनके पास सिर्फ नाम और दाम का ही विजन है. यही कारण है कि झूठ और प्रपंच की राजनीति इनके लिए वजूद बचाने का एकमात्र जरिया बन गई है.

प्रियंका गांधी ने लखनऊ से कांग्रेस उम्मीदवार आचार्य प्रमोद कृष्णम के लिए मतदाताओं से अपील की। प्रियंका ने वीडियो जारी कर कहा कि मैं आचार्य प्रमोद कृष्णम के लिए प्रचार के लिए आना चाहती थी. लेकिन समय के अभाव के चलते नहीं आ सकी. आचार्य प्रमोद ने प्रियंका गांधी का वीडियो ट्वीट कर कहा कि आभार प्रियंका जी...नफरत हारेगी, मुहब्बत जीतेगी. लखनऊ से केंद्रीय मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और समाजवादी पार्टी नेता पूनम सिन्हा उम्मीदवार हैं.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कांग्रेस पर राफेल मुद्दे को लेकर उनकी छवि खराब करने की कोशिश का आरोप लगाते हुए इस बहाने कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी के पिता राजीव गांधी पर तंज किया और कहा कि 'मिस्टर क्लीन' का जीवनकाल 'भ्रष्टाचारी नम्बर वन' के रूप में समाप्त हुआ था.

योगगुरु रामदेव और अन्य संत ने हरिद्वार के एसएसपी से मुलाकात कर सीताराम येचुरी के खिलाफ एसएसपी शिकायत की. येचुरी ने कहा था कि हिन्दू लोग हिंसक नहीं हो सकते, यह कहना गलत है. रामायण और महाभारत में हिंसा के अनेक उदाहरण देखे गए हैं और हिन्दू शासकों ने भी हिंसा किए हैं.
