Maldaha Dakshin: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury from Indian National Congress (INC) won the elections by a margin of 164111 votes. The polling / voting in Maldaha Dakshin constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Sreerupa Mitra Chowdhury and All India Trinamool Congress#s Dr MD Moazzem Hossain

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.

लोकसभा चुनाव के तहत झारखंड में दूसरे चरण में और देश के पांचवें चरण में सोमवार को राजधानी रांची, खूंटी, कोडरमा और हजारीबाग समेत कुल चार लोकसभा सीटों के लिए पूरी तरह शांतिपूर्ण ढंग से कुल 64.19 प्रतिशत मतदान की रिपोर्ट है. इस दौर में कुल 61 प्रत्याशी चुनाव मैदान में थे.

लोकसभा चुनाव के पांचवें चरण के तहत मध्यप्रदेश की सात लोकसभा सीटों पर सोमवार को शाम छह बजे तक 63.47 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ. कहीं से भी कोई अप्रिय घटना की खबर नहीं है. राजस्थान की 12 लोकसभा सीटों के लिए सोमवार को शाम छह बजे तक करीब 62.95 प्रतिशत मतदान दर्ज किया गया.मतदान सुबह सात बजे शुरू हुआ और इसकी अवधि छह बजे समाप्त हो गयी.

लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 के पांचवे चरण के तहत बिहार की पांच संसदीय क्षेत्रों - सीतामढ़ी, मधुबनी, मुजफ्फरपुर, हाजीपुर एवं सारण - में सोमवार को हुए मतदान के दौरान शाम छह बजे तक 57.86 प्रतिशत लोगों ने अपने मताधिकार का इस्तेमाल किया.

आज सुबह राजधानी लखनऊ में पहले मतदान करने वालों में गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह, बसपा प्रमुख मायावती, उप मुख्यमंत्री दिनेश शर्मा, पुलिस महानिदेशक ओ पी सिंह, प्रमुख सचिव सूचना अवनीश अवस्थी शामिल हैं. वर्ष 2014 के पिछले लोकसभा चुनाव में भाजपा ने 14 में से 12 सीटों पर जीत दर्ज की थी. जबकि अमेठी और रायबरेली सीटें कांग्रेस के खाते में गयी थीं.
