Koraput: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Jhina Hikaka from Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won the elections by a margin of 19328 votes. The polling / voting in Koraput constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Jayaram Pangi and Biju Janata Dal#s Kaushalya Hikaka

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Biju Janata Dal won 20 out of the 21 parliamentary seat with 44.1 percent vote share while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to win just 1 seats with a 21.5 percent vote share.

हमले की जिम्मेदारी लेने वाले व्यक्ति ने बताया कि वह न्यूजीलैंड हमले की साजिश रचने और इसके लिए प्रशिक्षण देने ही आया था. उसने कहा कि वह किसी संगठन का सदस्य नहीं है लेकिन कई राष्ट्रवादी समूहों से उसने बातचीत की और उनकी ओर उसका झुकाव है. उसने अकेले ही इस हमले को अंजाम दिया और उसे किसी संगठन ने हमले का आदेश नहीं दिया था. उसने कहा कि उसने यह दर्शाने के लिए न्यूजीलैंड को चुना कि दुनिया का सबसे दूरदराज का हिस्सा भी ‘सामूहिक आव्रजन’ से मुक्त नहीं है.

इस बीच हमलावर द्वारा ऑनलाइन लाइव जारी किए गए वीडियो में भयावह दृश्य दिखे. बंदूकधारी मस्जिद में दो मिनट से ज्यादा समय रहा और गोलीबारी की. इसके बाद वह बाहर सड़क पर आया और वहां गोलियां चलाईं. वह दूसरी रायफल लेने अपनी कार में आया और उसने दोबारा मस्जिद में गोलियां चलाई. बाहर आते समय उसने एक महिला पर गोलियां चलाईं. इसके बाद हमलावर अपने वाहन में बैठकर फरार हो गया.

मस्जिद अल नूर में हमला स्थानीय समयानुसार दोपहर पौने दो बजे हुआ. प्रत्यक्षदर्शी लेन पेनेहा ने बताया कि उन्होंने काले कपड़े पहने एक व्यक्ति को मस्जिद में जाते देखा और उसके बाद गोलीबारी की आवाज सुनाई दी. मस्जिद के निकट रहने वाले पेनेहा ने बताया कि बंदूकधारी मस्जिद से बाहर भागा और उसने अपना हथियार रास्ते में गिरा दिया.

प्रधानमंत्री अर्डर्न ने हमले के संभावित मकसद के तौर पर प्रवासी विरोधी भावना होने का इशारा किया और कहा कि गोलीबारी में प्रभावित कई लोग प्रवासी या शरणार्थी हो सकते हैं. ‘उन्होंने न्यूजीलैंड को अपना घर बनाना चुना और यह उनका घर है.’

पुलिस आयुक्त माइक बुश ने कहा कि पुलिस हिरासत में लिए गए चार लोगों के अलावा किसी अन्य संदिग्ध के बारे में नहीं जानती लेकिन वे इस बारे में निश्चित रूप से कुछ नहीं कह सकते. बुश ने कहा, ‘स्थानीय पुलिस ने हमलावरों को पकड़ लिया है, हमारे पुलिसकर्मियों ने जिस प्रकार कार्रवाई की, मुझे उन पर गर्व है, लेकिन हमें यह नहीं मान लेना चाहिए कि खतरा समाप्त हो गया है.’ उन्होंने बताया कि रक्षाबल ने हमलों के बाद रोके गए वाहनों से जुड़े कई आईईडी निष्क्रिय किए हैं.
