Background

Kanker: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Vikram Usendi from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 35158 votes. The polling / voting in Kanker constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 2 on 18 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Mohan Mandavi and Congress Party#s Biresh thakur

Kanker 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 10 out of the 11 parliamentary seat with 48.7 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 1 seats with a 38.4 percent vote share.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 88191 votes BJP candidate Sohan Potai had got 318040 while INC got Chhabila Arvind Netam votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 54370 votes BJP candidate Sohan Potai had got 270121 while INC got Mahendra Karma votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 24420 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Chhabila Arvind Netam attained 219191 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Sohan Potai bagged 194771 votes
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 19361 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Arwind Netam attained 154567 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Deolall Dugga bagged 135206 votes
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated JD candidate with a difference of 45816 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Arvind Netam attained 189631 votes and JD candidate Lambodar Baliyar bagged 143815 votes
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Arvind Netam attained 225545 votes and BJP's Aghan Singh Thakur bagged 89358 votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JNP candidate by a margin of 87501 votes INC(I) candidate Arvind Netam had got 154949 while JNP got Aghansingh Bhaosingh votes.
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 53777 votes BLD candidate Aghansingh had got 151392 while INC got Arvind Bishram votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and BJS here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his BJS counterpart with a difference of 7443 votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between BJS and INC here BJS candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 3523 votes.

बोईसर खैरपाडा इथल्या सबस्टेशनमधील 132 केव्ही या अतिउच्चदाब वाहिनीत बिघाड झाल्याने गुरुवारी संध्याकाळी साडेसातच्या सुमारास वीज खंडित झाली आहे. दुरुस्तीचे काम सुरु असून रात्री 12 वाजेपर्यंत वीजपुरवठा सुरळीत होईल, अशी माहिती एमएसईबीकडून देण्यात आली. यामुळे बोईसर एमआयडीसीचा काही भाग आणि डहाणू, तलासरी, जव्हार, मोखाडा हे तालुके अंधारात आहेत.
