Kaliabor: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Gourav Gogoi from Indian National Congress (INC) won the elections by a margin of 93874 votes. The polling / voting in Kaliabor constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Asom Gana Parishad#s Mani Madhab Mahanta and Congress Party#s Gaurav gogoi

Kaliabor 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 7 out of the 14 parliamentary seat with 36.5 percent vote share while the All India United Democratic Front managed to win just 3 seats with a 14.8 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Kaliabor Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 80.01% Lok Sabha percent with 80.41% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Out of the 13 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Kaliabor, 10 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Gourav Gogoi of the Indian National Congress as he defeated Mrinal Kumar Saikia by a margin of 93874 votes.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated Asom Gana Parishad candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Tarun Gogoi attained 373542 votes and AGP's Keshab Mahanta bagged 206150 votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defated Asom Gana Parishad candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Tarun Gogoi attained 383822 votes and AGP's Keshab Mahanta bagged 151487 votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Asom Gana Parishad and Indian National Congress here Asom Gana Parishad candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 1616 votes.
