Jhanjharpur: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Birendra Kumar Chaudhary from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 55408 votes. The polling / voting in Jhanjharpur constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Janata Dal (United)#s Ram Preet Mandal and Rashtriya Janata Dal#s Gulab Yadav

Jhanjharpur 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha poll, Janata Dal (United) candidate defated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD(U) candidate Devendra Prasad Yadav attained 375852 votes and RJD's Surendra Prasad Yadav bagged 248038 votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate defeated SAP candidate with a difference of 37268 votes. Here, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Surendra Prasad Yadav attained 260700 votes and SAP candidate Jagdish N. Choudhary bagged 223432 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 78149 votes JD candidate Devendra Prasad Yadav had got 358396 while INC got Dhanik Lal Mandal votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Devendra Prasad Yadav attained 372785 votes and INC's Jagdina Chaudhary bagged 242711 votes.

यूपी की अमेठी लोकसभा सीट के अलावा राहुल गांधी इस बार केरल की वायनाड सीट से भी चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं. खबर मिल रही है कि राहुल गांधी 17 अप्रैल को वायनाड में चुनाव प्रचार करेंगे. वायनाड में राहुल गांधी के साथ प्रियंका गांधी और सोनिया गांधी के प्रचार का कार्यक्रम भी बनाया जा रहा है.

आंध्र प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री चंद्रबाबू नायडू आज चुनाव आयोग पहुंचे हैं. चंद्रबाबू नायडू आंध्र प्रदेश में चुनाव के दौरान खराब हुई ईवीएम वाले बूथों पर फिर से वोटिंग कराने की मांग कर रहे हैं. इस मामले में नायडू चुनाव आयोग को खत भी लिख चुके हैं. चुनाव आयोग द्वारा जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, आंध्र प्रदेश में बैलट यूनिट: 1.75%, कंट्रोल यूनिट: 1.73%, VVPAT: 2.75% बदले गए थे. अहम बात ये भी है कि ईवीएम बदलने के देश भर के आंकड़ों में आंध्र प्रदेश पहले नम्बर पर था.
