Jalaun: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 287202 votes. The polling / voting in Jalaun constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Bhanu Pratap Verma, MP and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Pankaj Singh

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

પશ્ચિમ બંગાળમાં અમિત શાહના રોડ શો વખતે થયેલી હિંસા મુદ્દે બીએસપી સુપ્રીમો માયાવતીએ આજે પ્રેસ કોન્ફરન્સ કરી હતી. તેણે કહ્યું કે, એક દિવસ પહેલા ચૂંટણી પ્રચાર પર રોક લગાવવી ખોટું છે. જો રોક લગાવવી જ હતી તો ગઇકાલથી જ લાગુ કરી દેવી જોઈતી હતી. આજે બંગાળમાં મોદીની 2 રેલી છે, તેથી રાત્રે 10 કલાકથી પ્રચાર પર પ્રતિબંધ મૂકવામાં આવ્યો છે. ચૂંટણી પંચ દબાણમાં કામ કરી રહ્યું છે.

ચૂંટણી પંચની કડક કાર્યવાહીથી મમતા બેનર્જી ભડકી ગયા હતા. તેમણે બીજેપીના આદેશ પર ચૂંટણી પંચે ફેંસલો લીધો હોવાનું જણાવ્યું હતું. આ ફેંસલો પંચે નહીં પણ મોદીએ લીધો છે, શાહના ઈશારા પર લેવામાં આવ્યો છે. ચૂંટણી પંચનો ફેંસલો ગેરબંધારણીય છે. અમિત શાહ અહીં હિંસા કરવાના મૂડમાં જ આવ્યા હતા. તેમની સામે પગલા ભરવા જોઈએ.
