Hoshangabad: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Uday Pratap Singh from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 389960 votes. The polling / voting in Hoshangabad constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Rao Udai Pratap Singh and Congress Party#s Shailendra diwan

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 27 out of the 29 parliamentary seat with 54 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just 2 seats with a 34.9 percent vote share.
