Firozabad: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Akshay Yadav from Samajwadi Party (SP) won the elections by a margin of 114059 votes. The polling / voting in Firozabad constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Dr. Chandra Sen Jadun and Samajwadi Party#s Akshay Yadav

Firozabad 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Firozabad Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 67.49% Lok Sabha percent with 71.29% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 62.81% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 4654 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 15 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Firozabad, 13 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Akshay Yadav of the Samajwadi Party as he defeated Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel by a margin of 114059 votes.

  • 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Samajwadi Party candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 54788 votes SP candidate Ram Ji Lal Suman had got 212383 while BJP got Kishori Lal Mahaur votes.
  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Samajwadi Party candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 83368 votes SP candidate Ram Jilal Suman had got 289459 while BJP got Prabhu Dayal Katheriyar votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Samajwadi Party candidate with a difference of 39950 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Prabhu Dayal Katheria attained 263263 votes and Samajwadi Party candidate Ramji Lal Suman bagged 223313 votes
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Samajwadi Party candidate by a margin of 67032 votes BJP candidate Prabhudayal Katheria had got 211332 while SP got Ramjilal Suman votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and JD here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his JD counterpart with a difference of 1332 votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha poll, JD candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, JD candidate Ramji Lal Suman attained 283774 votes and INC's Ganga Ram bagged 110948 votes.
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated LKD candidate by a margin of 63502 votes INC candidate Ganga Ram had got 161079 while LKD got Rajesh Kumar Singh votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate defeated Indian National Congress candidate with a difference of 22086 votes. Here, Independent leader Rajesh Kumar Singh attained 110208 votes and Indian National Congress candidate Azad Kumar Kardam bagged 88122 votes
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Ramji Lal Suman attained 232679 votes and INC's Raja Ram Pipal bagged 75915 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated BKD candidate by a margin of 90305 votes INC candidate Chhatrapati Ambesh had got 110797 while BKD got Shiv Charan Lal votes.
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, SSP candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 13281 votes. Here, SSP leader S.C. Lal attained 83638 votes and INC candidate C. Ambesh bagged 70357 votes
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Independent candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 22915 votes. Here, Independent leader Brij Raj Singh attained 104637 votes and INC candidate Ch. Raghubir Singh bagged 81722 votes
