Deoria: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kalraj Mishra from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 265386 votes. The polling / voting in Deoria constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Ramapati Ram Tripathi and Bahujan Samaj Party#s Vinod Kumar Jaiswal

Deoria 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 out of the 80 parliamentary seat with 42.3 percent vote share while the Samajwadi Party managed to win just 5 seats with a 22.2 percent vote share.

Out of the 15 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Deoria, 13 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Kalraj Mishra of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Niyaj Ahmad by a margin of 265386 votes.

Here, Bahujan Samaj Party leader Gorakh Prasad Jaiswal attained 219889 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Prakash Mani Tripathi bagged 178110 votes
• 2004 Lok Sabha Elections: In 14th Lok Sabha election, Samajwadi Party candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 52226 votes SP candidate Mohan Singh had got 237664 while BJP got Sriprakash Mani votes.
• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated Samajwadi Party candidate with a difference of 42141 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Shri Prakash Mani attained 251814 votes and Samajwadi Party candidate Mohan Singh bagged 209673 votes
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Samajwadi Party and Bharatiya Janta Party here Samajwadi Party candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 4068 votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated JD candidate with a difference of 46927 votes. Here, Bharatiya Janta Party leader Shriprakash Mani attained 227155 votes and JD candidate Nand Kishore Singh bagged 180228 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 17177 votes. Here, JD leader Mohan Singh attained 168444 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Govind Prasad Rai bagged 151267 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 94583 votes JD candidate Rajmangal had got 240453 while INC got Shashi Sharma votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated LKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Rajmangal Pandey attained 239708 votes and LKD's Ramdhari Shastri bagged 94607 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and JNP(S); here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his JNP(S) counterpart with a difference of 77 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Ugrasen attained 258864 votes and INC's Vishwa Nath bagged 76691 votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated SSP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Bishwanath Roy attained 134256 votes and SSP's Mahendra Singh Yadav bagged 27220 votes.
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SSP candidate with a difference of 34979 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader B. Rai attained 106557 votes and SSP candidate Rameshwar bagged 71578 votes
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated PSP candidate with a difference of 19241 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Vaishwanath attained 80195 votes and PSP candidate Asoka Ranjitram Mehta bagged 60954 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between PSP and INC here PSP candidate defeated his INC counterpart with a difference of 5967 votes.
• 1951 Lok Sabha Elections: In India's Very First Lok Sabha Polls, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SP candidate with a difference of 16370 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Sarayu attained 53530 votes and SP candidate Bishwa Nath bagged 37160 votes
