ABP EXIT POLL 2019 Highlights: Narendra Modi set to be PM for 2nd term; NDA to win 277 seats

Background

Dausa: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Harish Chandra Meena from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 45404 votes. The polling / voting in Dausa constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 5 on 6 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Jaskaur Meena and Congress Party#s Smt. Savita meena

Dausa 2014 Lok Sabha Polls

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 25 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 54.9 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just seats with a 30.4 percent vote share.

Voter turnout in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Dausa Lok Sabha Lok Sabha constituency. The total voter turnout was 61.05% Lok Sabha percent with 63.81% Lok Sabha percent male voters turning out to cast their votes. Meanwhile, 57.88% Lok Sabha percent of the women voters cast their votes and 8410 Lok Sabha voters pressed on the NOTA

Out of the 14 Lok Sabha candidates who contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Dausa, 11 had to deposit their security. The voters gave their mandate in favour of Harish Chandra Meena of the Bharatiya Janta Party as he defeated Dr. Kirodi Lal by a margin of 45404 votes.

  • 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his Bharatiya Janta Party counterpart with a difference of 6902 votes.
  • 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 61074 votes INC candidate Rajesh Pilot had got 415287 while BJP got Rohitashv Kumar Sharma votes.
  • 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 62861 votes INC candidate Rajesh Pilot had got 337687 while BJP got Kirori Lal Meena votes.
  • 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 63281 votes INC candidate Rajesh Pilot had got 242618 while BJP got Nathu Singh votes.
  • 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha poll, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defated Indian National Congress candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BJP candidate Nathu Singh attained 330749 votes and INC's Nawal Kishore Sharma bagged 213899 votes.
  • 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 74343 votes INC candidate Rajesh Pilot had got 245246 while BJP got Nathu Singh votes.
  • 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Indian National Congress and JNP here Indian National Congress candidate defeated his JNP counterpart with a difference of 8072 votes.
  • 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha poll, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Nathu Singh attained 236345 votes and INC's Nawal Kishore Sharma bagged 72942 votes.
  • 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SWA candidate with a difference of 21217 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Nawal Kishore Sharma attained 123648 votes and SWA candidate Somani Hira Lal bagged 102431 votes
  • 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, SWA candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 45091 votes. Here, SWA leader R. C. Ganpat attained 148239 votes and INC candidate H. S. Rawat bagged 103148 votes
  • 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, SWA candidate had defeated INC candidate by a margin of 89696 votes SWA candidate Prithvi Raj had got 152902 while INC got Narainsingh votes.
  • 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 13331 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Somani Gajadhar Hazari Lal attained 54817 votes and IND candidate Nand Lal bagged 41486 votes

As per the final data, the SP-BSP-RLD alliance is projected to get 45 seats, the BJP-led NDA 35 and the Congress 2.

The data below, in which the BJP-led NDA was falling five seats short of majority, was based upon the polling till 2 pm. In the final data, the saffron alliance is set to retain power at the Centre by winning 277 seats in the 543-member Parliament. The BJP is slated to get 227 on its own.

In terms of vote share, the NDA is likely to get 31 per cent of votes against 21 for the UPA. The other parties are likely to get 47 per cent.
