Asansol: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Babul Supriya Baral (Babul Supriyo) from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 70480 votes. The polling / voting in Asansol constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 4 on 29 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Babul Supriyo and All India Trinamool Congress#s Sreemati Dev Varma
Asansol 2014 Lok Sabha PollsIn the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, All India Trinamool Congress won 34 out of the 42 parliamentary seat with 39.8 percent vote share while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) managed to win just 2 seats with a 23 percent vote share.
