Arrah: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Raj Kumar Singh from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 135870 votes. The polling / voting in Arrah constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 7 on 19 May. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Rajkumar Singh and Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation#s Raju Yadav

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 22 out of the 40 parliamentary seat with 29.4 percent vote share while the Lok Janshakti Party managed to win just 6 seats with a 6.4 percent vote share.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate had defeated Janata Dal (United) candidate by a margin of 92282 votes RJD candidate Ram Prasad Singh had got 264140 while JD(U) got H P Singh votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, SAP candidate had defeated Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate by a margin of 58164 votes SAP candidate H.P.Singh had got 286286 while RJD got Chandra Deo Prasad Verma votes.
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate defeated SAP candidate with a difference of 41041 votes. Here, JD leader Chandra Deo Prasad Verma attained 192046 votes and SAP candidate Ram Prasad Singh bagged 151005 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, JD candidate had defeated JP candidate by a margin of 55348 votes JD candidate Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav had got 275320 while JP got Surajdeo Singh votes.
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, IPF candidate defeated JD candidate with a difference of 16440 votes. Here, IPF leader Rameshwar Prasad attained 178211 votes and JD candidate Tulsi Singh bagged 161771 votes
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated LKD candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC candidate Bali Ram Bhagat attained 227206 votes and LKD's Noor Ahmad bagged 72284 votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between JNP(S) and JNP here JNP(S) candidate defeated his JNP counterpart with a difference of 8949 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, BLD candidate defated INC candidate in one-sided contest. Here, BLD candidate Chandradeo Prasad Verma attained 323913 votes and INC's Baliram Bhagat bagged 113036 votes.
