Araku: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Kothapalli Geetha from YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) won the elections by a margin of 91398 votes. The polling / voting in Araku constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telugu Desam Party#s Kishore Chandra Deo and YSR Congress Party#s Goddeti Madhavi

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party won 15 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 29.1 percent vote share while the YSR Congress Party managed to win just 8 seats with a 28.9 percent vote share.
