Anand: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Dilip Patel from Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) won the elections by a margin of 63426 votes. The polling / voting in Anand constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 3 on 23 April. The major contest is between Bharatiya Janata Party#s Miteshbhai Patel or Bakabhai and Congress Party#s Bharatsinh m. Solanki

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Bharatiya Janata Party won 26 out of the 26 parliamentary seat with 60.11 percent vote share while the Indian National Congress managed to win just seats with a 33.45 percent vote share.

• 1999 Lok Sabha Elections: In 13th Lok Sabha election, interesting battle could be seen between Bharatiya Janta Party and Indian National Congress here Bharatiya Janta Party candidate defeated his Indian National Congress counterpart with a difference of 3661 votes.
• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 38056 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Chavda Ishvarbhai Khodabhai attained 337265 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Patel Jayprakash Vaghijibhai (Babal Bhai) bagged 299209 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 31732 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Chavda Ishwarbhai Khodabhai attained 183107 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Prof Kishorsinh Solanki bagged 151375 votes
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Bharatiya Janta Party candidate with a difference of 36039 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Chavda Ishvarbhai Khodabhai attained 234875 votes and Bharatiya Janta Party candidate Patel Rajnikant Dhulabhai bagged 198836 votes
• 1989 Lok Sabha Elections: In Ninth Lok Sabha election, Bharatiya Janta Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 70299 votes BJP candidate Patel Nathubhai Manibhai had got 313548 while INC got Chavda Ishwarbhai Khodbahai votes.
• 1984 Lok Sabha Elections: In 8th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated JNP candidate by a margin of 75173 votes INC candidate Ishverbhai Khodabhai Chavada had got 250877 while JNP got Manubhai Dahyabhai Patel votes.
• 1980 Lok Sabha Elections: In 7th Lok Sabha poll, Indian National Congress candidate defated JNP candidate in one-sided contest. Here, INC(I) candidate Ishvarbhai Khodabhai Chavda attained 256897 votes and JNP's Mahida Dilipsinh Ashabhai(Vedalankar) bagged 142636 votes.
• 1977 Lok Sabha Elections: In Sixth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate had defeated BLD candidate by a margin of 62779 votes INC candidate Ajitsinh Fulsinh Dabhi had got 221099 while BLD got Jadav Himatsinh Khodsinh votes.
• 1971 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fifth Lok Sabha election, NCO candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 43604 votes. Here, NCO leader Pravinsinhji Natvarsinhji Solanki attained 168586 votes and INC candidate Narendrasinhji Ranjitsinjhi Mahida bagged 124982 votes
• 1967 Lok Sabha Elections: In Fourth Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated SWA candidate with a difference of 21222 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader N.R. Mahida attained 181894 votes and SWA candidate H.M. Patel bagged 160672 votes
• 1962 Lok Sabha Elections: In Third Lok Sabha election, SWA candidate defeated INC candidate with a difference of 22729 votes. Here, SWA leader Kumar Narendrasinh Ranjitsinh Mahida attained 169116 votes and INC candidate Maniben Vallabhbhai Patel bagged 146387 votes
• 1957 Lok Sabha Elections: In Second Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated IND candidate with a difference of 37429 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Patel Maniben Vallabbhai attained 160216 votes and IND candidate Amin Dadubhai Mulji Bhai bagged 122787 votes

कल्याण : लोकसभा निवडणुकीतील उमेदवाराला फसवणुकीच्या गुन्ह्याखाली अटक करण्यात आली आहे. कल्याण मतदारसंघातील अपक्ष उमेदवार शिवा कृष्णमूर्ती अय्यर यांच्यावर 420 च्या कलमाखाली गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला आहे. न्यायालयाने अय्यर यांना 20 एप्रिलपर्यंत मुंब्रा पोलिसांकडे कस्टडी दिली आहे.

मुंबई : मालेगाव बॉम्बस्फोट प्रकरणातील आरोपी साध्वी प्रज्ञासिंह ठाकूरला लोकसभा निवडणूक लढण्याची परवानगी न देण्याबाबत एनआयए कोर्टात याचिका दाखल झाली आहे. 2008 च्या मालेगाव बॉम्बस्फोटात मुलगा गमावलेल्या नासिर बिलाल यांनी ही याचिका केली आहे. इतर आरोपींसह साध्वी प्रज्ञासिंहला मुंबईतील एनआयए कोर्टात सुनावणीसाठी नियमित हजेरी लावण्याचे निर्देश देण्याची मागणी याचिकेत करण्यात आली आहे.

मुंबई : सोहराबुद्दीन कथित बनावट चकमकप्रकरणी 22 आरोपींना निर्दोष सोडण्यात आलेल्या निर्णयाला मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयात आव्हान देण्यात आलं आहे. सोहराबुद्दीनचा भाऊ रुबाबुद्दीन शेख यांनी मुंबई उच्च न्यायालयात याचिका दाखल केली आहे. सोहराबुद्दीन शेख, कौसर बी आणि तुलसीराम प्रजापती यांच्या चकमकप्रकरणी मुंबई सत्र न्यायालयाने 21 डिसेंबर 2018 रोजी 22 आरोपी निर्दोष असल्याचा निर्णय दिला होता. निर्दोष सुटका झालेल्यांमध्ये बहुतांश गुजरात आणि राजस्थान पोलिस दलातील अधिकारी आहेत.
