Anakapalle: In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao (Avanthi) from Telugu Desam Party (TDP) won the elections by a margin of 47932 votes. The polling / voting in Anakapalle constituency in the 2019 General elections took place in Phase 1 on 11 April. The major contest is between Telugu Desam Party#s Adari Anand and YSR Congress Party#s Kandregula Satyavathi

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Telugu Desam Party won 15 out of the 25 parliamentary seat with 29.1 percent vote share while the YSR Congress Party managed to win just 8 seats with a 28.9 percent vote share.

• 1998 Lok Sabha Elections: In 12th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate with a difference of 25925 votes. Here, Indian National Congress leader Gurunadha Rao Gudivada attained 321840 votes and Telugu Desam Party candidate Ayyanna Patrudu Chintakayala bagged 295915 votes
• 1996 Lok Sabha Elections: In 11th Lok Sabha election, Telugu Desam Party candidate had defeated Indian National Congress candidate by a margin of 50172 votes TDP candidate Ayyanna Paurudu Chintakayala had got 327290 while INC got Konathala Ramakrishna votes.
• 1991 Lok Sabha Elections: In 10th Lok Sabha election, Indian National Congress candidate defeated Telugu Desam Party candidate with a difference of 11158 votes. भारत ने अपने राजदूतों को निर्देश दिया है कि वो स्थानीय सरकारों को जानकारी दे कि ये हमला पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ नहीं किया गया था बल्कि आतंकवाद के खिलाफ किया गया था.

जैश के बालाकोट कैंप पर हमले को लेकर भारत ने पाकिस्तान को डॉजियर दिया था और इसके साथ 42 आतंकियों की लिस्ट भी दी थी. इसके अलावा भारत के पास ये जानकारी थी कि 42 आतंकियों की ट्रेनिंग अल्फा कैंप 3 में ही हुई थी.
