UKPSC Patwari Exam Paper Leaked, Four Arrested, Exam Cancelled

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission has cancelled the UKPSC Patwari Lekhpal 2022 Exam after the UKPSC Patwari Exam paper leak. Four accused have been arrested in the matter.

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has cancelled the UKPSC Patwari Lekhpal Exam 2022 after the news of the UKPSC Patwari Lekhpal 2022 paper leak surfaced. After the UKSSSC paper leak in November last year, this is the second paper leak incident in Uttarakhand in quick succession.

Four accused have been arrested in the matter, wherein the main accused is a UKPSC staff member who leaked and allegedly sold the exam paper in lakhs. “The STF has arrested four people in the UKPSC Patwari paper leak matter, and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to adopt a zero tolerance against the paper-leak gang,” Uttarakhand STF SP Ayush Aggarwal said in a press conference. Even the UKPSC has asked the DGP to keep a keen eye on Uttarakhand recruitment exams, he further added.

The UKPSC Patwari Lekhpal Exam 2022 was conducted on January 8, 2023, at 458 centres across 13 districts in Uttarakhand. Around 1,14,071 candidates appeared for the exam. The UKPSC aimed to fill a total of 531 vacancies through the UKPSC Patwari Lekhpal Recruitment Drive 2022. Online applications for the recruitment drive were accepted from October 14 to November 4, 2022.

The cancellation of the UKPSC Patwari Lekhpal brings in a huge setback for all the candidates who appeared for the recruitment exam. After the UKSSSC paper leak in November 2022, the UKPSC Patwari paper leak is the second similar incident in Uttarakhand in quick succession. Following the cancellation of the Patwari Lekhpal Exam held on January 8, 2023, the recruitment exam will be held later.
