UGC  had invited online applications earlier this month to fill 4 vacancies for the post of Deputy Secretary and 2 vacancies for the post of Education Officer via direct recruitment. Interested candidates must submit their online applications on or before 5^th April 2019, and then send the hard copy of their application form to UGC through proper channel by 12^th April 2019, next month. Eligibility Criteria: Deputy Secretary: The applicant must possess first class Master’ Degree of a recognized University with a good academic record, along with minimum 7 years’ experience of teaching/ research in University or college or Educational Administration in higher education. S/he must be holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department. Education Officer: The applicant must possess at least second class Master’s degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognized University, along with five years of experience of teaching/research/Educational Administration. Age-Limit: Deputy Secretary: the applicant must be below 45 years of age as on 12^th April 2019. Education Officer: the applicant must be below 40 years of age as on 12^th April 2019. Education Officer: The selected candidates will be placed in Pay level-11 i.e. Rs.67,700-2,08,700/- per month plus usual allowances as applicable to central government employees. For both the posts, candidates drawing higher pay in pay level will be eligible for protection of pay in the pay level attached to the post.
