NEET UG Counselling 2023: Candidates can fill and lock choices on the official website at tnmedicalselection.net.

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Tamil Nadu, has released the schedule for the state's National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG counselling 2023, which is conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS programs. The choice-filling and locking process for the counselling will commence tomorrow, July 25. Eligible candidates can access the official website, tnmedicalselection.net, to fill in their preferred choices. As per the schedule, the last date for registration, payment of fees, and choice-filling is set for July 31. Candidates are advised to complete these processes within the given timeframe to secure their desired seats in MBBS and BDS programs in Tamil Nadu.

The seat allotment result will be announced on August 3, indicating the allocated seats to the candidates based on their choices and merit. From August 4 to August 8, candidates can download the provisional allotment order, which will officially confirm their allotted seats. The last date for candidates to join the allotted seats is August 8. It is important for candidates to complete the admission process and report to their respective colleges within this timeframe to secure their seats.

Candidates were advised by DMER to carefully review their choices and preference order before locking them, as editing after locking would not be possible. Additionally, if a candidate fails to lock their choices manually before the last date, the system will automatically lock their selections. It was further clarified that in round 2, candidates cannot take admission in a category they did not opt for in round 1. Once seats are allotted, candidates must download the allotment order and proceed to the respective colleges with all the necessary documents.
