SBI Recruitment 2019: The State Bank of India is scheduled to close the online application process for its mega recruitment drive of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre today i.e. 3rd May 2019. SBI aims to fill a total of 8653 vacancies of Junior Associates for which recruitment will be done on the basis of merit scored by the candidates in Preliminary & Main Examination and in the test of specified opted local language. The Preliminary Examination will be tentatively held in the month of June 2019 and the Main Examination will be tentatively held on 10th August 2019.
Candidates can apply for vacancies in one state only. Furthermore, they must apply for vacancies of a State for which they are also proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the specified local language of that State.
Eligibility Criteria, Age Limit, Pay Scale:
Graduates in any discipline, falling in the age bracket of 20 to 28 years as on 1st April 2019 must take this opportunity to pursue a promising banking career with the country’s largest money lender – State Bank of India. The starting Basic Pay upon selection will be 13075/- plus emoluments as applicable.

SBI Clerk Recruitment 2019 - Examination Pattern:
Preliminary Examination (Phase –I)
Preliminary Examination will be held in online mode and will comprise of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (objective type) of total 100 marks. Preliminary Examination would be divided into three sections viz English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning. The total number of questions in English Language would be 30 and for both Numerical Ability and Reasoning section, the total number of questions would be 35. The total time duration of 1 hour would be given for the test and each of the three sections will be given a separate slot of 20 minutes for each section.
English Language – 30 marks
Numerical Ability – 35 marks
Reasoning Ability – 35 marks
Each question will be of 1 mark and deduction of 1/4th of the mark is applicable for each wrong answer.
Main Examination (Phase –II)
Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be eligible to appear for the second phase of the Examination, i.e. Main Examination which will also be objective type in nature (online).
The Main Examination will be divided into four phases – General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The exam will be of 2 hours 40 minutes duration consisting of a total of 190 questions of 200 marks. The total number of questions in General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude would be same, i.e. 50 questions in each section. General English will consist of 40 questions.
General/Financial Awareness – 50 marks
General English – 40 marks
Quantitative Aptitude – 50 marks
Reasoning Ability &Computer Aptitude– 60 marks
Except for General English, the time duration to attempt the General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability &Computer Aptitude section will be 50 and minutes each. General English section will be allocated time duration of 40 minutes.
The question papers will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi, excluding the General English Section. Similar to Preliminary Examination, in Main Examination, 1/4th of the mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Test of specified opted local language
Candidates who will get shortlisted in the selection process and produce 10th /12th standard mark sheet or certificate, proving that they’ve studied the specified opted Local language will not be required to undergo any Language test. Whereas in case of others who qualified for selection but cannot produce the required certificate, specified opted local language test will be organized after the process of provisional selection but before joining. Candidates who are not found to be proficient in specified opted local language would be disqualified.
Note: For candidates who qualify in the test of specified opted local language, the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination will not be added. The aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination will be only considered for preparing the final merit list. Thereby, the candidate’s performance in the Main Examination will be the only criteria for provisional selection.
