NEET PG 2024 Counselling Schedule Soon, Check Latest Update On Dates

NEET PG 2024 Counselling schedule is expected to be released this week on the official website at mcc.nic.in.

NEET PG 2024 Counselling Schedule: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon release the NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule. According to the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA), the NEET PG counselling schedule is likely to be released within the next 2-3 days. Therefore, students can expect the counselling dates on October 16, 17, or 18. The counselling schedule will be available on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee at mcc.nic.in.

"Tentative counselling schedule is expected to be updated within the next 2-3 days. We urge all aspirants to stay tuned for further updates. All the best," Dr Lakshya Mittal, National President of UDFA said in a post on X. This tentative date is based on discussions between UDFA, the Medical Council Committee, and Health Ministry officials.

The NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted on August 11, 2024, in two shifts: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A total of 2,28,540 candidates appeared for the exam, which took place across 416 centers in 170 cities nationwide. In the first shift, 1,07,959 out of 1,14,276 registered candidates attended, while 1,08,177 out of 1,14,264 registered candidates appeared in the second shift. The results were announced on August 23, 2024. NEET PG is held for admission to MD, MS, DNB, and Diploma courses.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is tasked with overseeing the counselling process for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) MD and MS seats across the nation.

Recently, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) expressed its concerns regarding the prolonged delay in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process, which has created significant uncertainty and anxiety among aspiring candidates. In a letter to Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda, the IMA underscored the growing distress stemming from the postponement of the counselling process, currently stalled due to an ongoing Supreme Court case.

Additionally, the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) also urged Health Minister JP Nadda to intervene and address the delays in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process.
