NIRF 2024 Rankings: Major Shifts In Top Engineering, Medical & Management Institutions

The NIRF 2024 rankings highlight significant changes from 2023, with notable ups and downs in the rankings of various institutions.

NIRF Ranking 2024: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 Rankings have been released for various categories. IIT Madras, AIIMS Delhi, and IIM Ahmedabad have retained the top positions in the Engineering, Medical, and Management categories, respectively. This year, there are several key changes across the Engineering, Medical, and Management categories, with many institutions experiencing shifts in their positions compared to the previous year. Notable changes include IIT Kharagpur surpassing IIT Roorkee, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences securing 6th place by replacing Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in the Medical rankings, and IIM Calcutta losing ground to IIT Delhi in the Management category.

Banaras Hindu University moved up from 8th to 7th place.

Madras Medical College and Government General Hospital, Chennai entered the top 10 at 10th place, replacing Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical

Sciences and Technology which was ranked 10th in 2023.
