NEET PG Counselling 2024 Schedule Awaited, SC To Hear Aspirants' Plea Tomorrow

MCC will soon release the NEET PG 2024 counseling schedule, while the Supreme Court will hear a petition on result transparency on September 13, 2024.

NEET PG Counselling 2024: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to release the schedule for All India Quota (AIQ) NEET PG counselling soon. Candidates will be able to check the schedule and apply online for counseling process at mcc.nic.in. Additionally, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to publish the NEET PG scorecards soon. The exam took place on August 11, with results announced on August 23. The merit list for the 50 percent AIQ seats was made available on September 4 at natboard.ecu.in and nbe.edu.in.

Candidates must achieve at least a 50 percentile to qualify for counselling, while SC, ST, and OBC category candidates require a minimum of 40 percentile. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) manages the NEET PG Counselling for 50 percent All India Quota (AIQ) and 100 percent seats at Deemed, Central Universities, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), and PG DNB courses, facilitating admissions to MD, MS, Diploma, PG DNB, and MDS programs.

MCC organises the counselling in four phases: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and an online stray vacancy round, with additional rounds possible if seats remain vacant. The admission process includes registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and college reporting.

SC To Hear Aspirants' Plea On Friday

The Supreme Court is set to hear a petition from NEET PG aspirants regarding the transparency of the results on Friday, September 13, 2024. On September 7, a group of NEET PG 2024 candidates filed a petition against the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). They are requesting the Court instructing NBEMS to disclose the response sheets, raw and pre-normalised scores, normalised results, and answer keys for both exam shifts.

The petitioners argue that the release of the answer key is crucial for maintaining transparency and trust in the evaluation process.
