MPSC Exam 2021: Postponed Exam To Be Conducted on March 21
It is to be noted that students who have received hall ticket to appear for the exam (earlier scheduled on March 14), will remain valid for the March 21 exam, as per the commission said.
It was expected that the final exam date would be scheduled on March 21 since competitive exams are usually held on Sundays and after March 14 the next Sunday falls on March 21.
Giving assurance to the students earlier, the CM noted that the exam was postponed only for a few days and not months. He had stated that the exam will be conducted in a span of eight days of the earlier scheduled date. He said lakhs of candidates will be taking competitive exams and mass gathering of people could be dangerous in wake of immense threat of Covid-19. The CM also mentioned about instructing the Chief Secretary of the state and officials to issue a fresh date offering respite to teh anxious students. Hence the date was announced on Friday.

Thackeray also assured students that the age criteria won’t pose any hurdle to them for appearing in the exam on the new date.
In fact, the CM also directed the officials, who are going to conduct the preliminary exam, to get tested for Covid-19 and submit their negative reports before getting involved in the exam process. He also announced that all staff members will be vaccinated prior to the exam so that there is no possibility of infection spreading from staff members to the students.
