UP Police Constable Exam: FIR Filed Against SP Leader Yasar Shah For Spreading Paper Leak Rumors
UP Police Constable Exam 2024: An FIR has been lodged in Lucknow against Samajwadi Party leader Yasar Shah for spreading rumors of paper leak.
UP Police Constable Exam 2024: The first shift of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam has concluded. However, rumors of a paper leak have already started circulating on social media. The police are closely monitoring the situation, and an FIR has been filed in Lucknow by the UP Police Recruitment Board regarding these rumors. An FIR has been lodged in Lucknow against Samajwadi Party leader Yasar Shah. He is accused of forming several groups and spreading paper leak rumors.
In another case, the UP STF and Bansgaon police detained two individuals over suspected exam irregularities. A female constable and a young man were taken into custody for allegedly extorting money by promising to help candidates pass the exam. The female constable, posted in Shravasti, was visiting her parental home in Bansgaon when five admit cards were found on her mobile phone. Following interrogation, both individuals were arrested, and a case was registered against them.
The man, identified as Dev Pratap Singh from Delhi, and the female constable, Pinky Sonkar, were found with a mobile phone, three checks, and transaction details of Rs 40,000. The two had connected via social media. Due to an injury, the female constable has been admitted to the hospital.

Notably, the recruitment exam is being conducted to fill 60,000 constable positions in Uttar Pradesh. Exam centers have been set up in 67 districts across the state. Around 48 lakh candidates from 27 states and 8 union territories are participating in the examination. On Friday alone, around 9.7 lakh candidates are appearing for the exam at 1,174 centers in 67 districts of the state.
It is worth noting that the exam had to be cancelled earlier this year after a paper leak incident during the exams held on February 17 and 18.
