Celebration In Lucknow As UP Police Constable Exam 2023 Gets Cancelled

In Lucknow, candidates celebrate the cancellation of the UP Police constable exam 2023.

The Uttar Pradesh government made a significant announcement on Saturday, deciding to cancel the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023 due to reports of paper leaks. Instructions have been issued to conduct a re-examination within six months. CM Yogi Adityanath made this decision after conducting a thorough review of the matter in a high-level meeting with police and administrative officials. The examination took place on February 17 and 18 and 48 lakh candidates appeared in the exam.

".I express gratitude to CM Yogi Adityanath that he fulfilled our demand. Within the next two months, we will show them that the youth is with them...They have saved our lives. Candidates were dying by suicide...," Mayank Sachan from Kanpur said.

The Chief Minister directed that these recruitments be conducted with full transparency within six months. He said that strict action would be taken against individuals who undermine the hard work of the youth and compromise the integrity of the examination. Additionally, he instructed the Special Task Force (STF) to conduct a thorough investigation. It is noteworthy that the STF is actively monitoring individuals who breach the confidentiality of the exam and has already arrested more than 300 individuals in connection with the case.

Previously, a significant gathering of candidates assembled at the Eco Garden in Lucknow to express their concerns regarding the purported leakage of the UP Police exam papers. Students reiterated their steadfast belief in fairness and justice, emphasizing that any form of injustice against them is intolerable, particularly in a case as consequential as the leakage of a statewide exam. They insisted on the annulment of the leaked paper and the arrangement of a new examination.
