This year, JNU has aligned its PhD admission process with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by adopting NET scores in place of its traditional in-house PhD entrance exam, the JNU Entrance Exam (JNUEE). Plans to reinstate the university's entrance exam were delayed due to a lack of feedback from school deans, leading to continued reliance on national-level exams for the 2024 admission cycle.
