JEE Main 2020 Exams From Tuesday - Here's List Of Items Allowed & Prohibited Inside Examination Hall

NTA has has released the revised list of items that are allowed in the exam centres in the light of the pandemic along with the list of items that are prohibited.

New Delhi: Despite a massive furore over the holding of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) from across the country, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exams as per the schedule. The JEE Main 2020 exam would be held from September 1, 2020 till September 6, 2020 across India at different time slots. ALSO READ | NEET 2020, JEE Mains, UGC NET Exam Dates: Here Are All Important Dates, Links For The September Exams As per reports, around 8.67 lakh candidates who have registered for the entrance exam are likely to appear for the test starting tomorrow. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' on Sunday assured students and parents that the Education Ministry is fully prepared for safe conduct of both these exams and is committed to ensuring the safety of the students. Meanwhile, the NTA has has released the revised list of items that are allowed in the exam centres in the light of the pandemic along with the list of items that are prohibited. In order to help students know what exactly is allowed and what is not allowed inside the examination hall for JEE Main 2020, refer to the detailed list provided below. JEE Main 2020: List of items allowed Admit Card or Hall Ticket: As per the guidelines issued by the apex testing agency, it is mandatory for all students to carry their 4-page JEE Main 2020 Admit Card. Passport Size Photograph: All students must also carry at least one additional passport size photograph to the examination hall. This additional photograph will be pasted on the attendance sheet. Candidates must make sure the additional photograph should be the same as the one used in JEE Main 2020 application form. Govt Photo ID:  Along with Admit Card and additional passport size photograph, candidates are also required to carry their photo Id against which personal details provided on hall ticket will be verified. Students can carry government ID like Aadhar Card, Passport, Drivers License, etc. Transparent Ball Point Pen: This year, students will have to carry their own transparent ball point pen to the examination halls. Until last year, NTA use to provide ball-pens to the candidates appearing for the exam, but this year due to the pandemic, candidates have been asked to carry their own ball point pens. Hand Sanitiser Bottle: Students appearing for the JEE Main 2020 exam are allowed to carry a 50 ml bottle of personal hand sanitiser. However, the bottle being carried has to be completely transparent. Even the exam centres would have sanitisation units at various places within the exam centres to help candidates sanitise their hands regularly. Transparent Water Bottles: As per the guidelines, candidates would also be allowed to carry transparent water bottles inside the examination hall. However, the water bottle being carried inside the exam hall must not have any labels or markings. JEE Main 2020: List of items not allowed Any Metallic Items: Students are not allowed to carry any metallic items inside the examination hall. Therefore, it is advised that they should avoid wearing any kind of jewelry or ornaments. Mobile Phones: Just like every year, students are not allowed to carry mobile phones inside examination halls. However, students will have to carry mobile phone with Aarogya Setu mobile app installed in it, but they will not be allowed to carry it inside the examination hall and will have to be left outside. Other Electronic Devices: Apart from mobile phones, candidates are also not allowed to carry any other type of electronic device inside the exam hall. This includes any devices like calculator, smart watches, bluetooth devices, ear phones, etc. Rough Work Sheets: Students appearing for JEE Main 2020 will not be allowed to carry any piece of paper for rough work. The would be provided with sheets of paper to complete rough work inside the examination hall. All the best & stay safe!
