JEE Main 2019 Exam Analysis: Experts are of the view that today’s JEE Main 2019 Paper-I was moderate if not too easy.

JEE Main 2019 Paper-I was successfully commenced today i.e. 9th January 2019 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) across the country for candidates seeking admissions to B.E and B.Tech programmes in  NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, SFIs, State Engineering Colleges for participating States and other participating institutions. Experts are of the view that today’s JEE Main 2019 Paper-I was moderate if not too easy. A well prepared candidate who had brushed up on the basic concepts would be able to get a high rank for today’s paper. Most of the questions were based on NCERT syllabus and the question selection was similar to the past five years’ papers. While Chemistry was easiest and Physics moderate, Mathematics section was dubbed the toughest of all and the lengthiest too. Candidates must know that 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer, negative marking of (-1) is applicable for each wrong answer and 0 mark is given for every Unanswered or Marked for Review question. Candidates were given a total of 180 minutes without any sectional divide. Here’s a section-wise exam analysis of JEE Main 2019 Paper-I held on 09th January 2019 in the morning session from 9:30am to 12:30pm: Mathematics – 30 Questions – 120 Marks In the Mathematics section, 10 questions were based on Algebra, 8 on Calculus and 6 each were from Coordinate Geometry and Trigonometry. Physics – 30 Questions – 120 Marks The Physics section comprised of 8 questions from Mechanics, 7 from Current Electricity and EMI, 6 from Heat and Thermodynamics, 5 from Optics and Modern Physics, and 4 from Electrostatics and Magnetism. Chemistry – 30 Questions – 120 Marks In the Chemistry section, 12 questions were based on in-organic Chemistry, 9 each from organic chemistry and physical chemistry. A whopping 9.29 lakh candidates have registered for JEE Main 2019 – Paper I (First Attempt). Candidate who are yet to appear for the same can refer to this exam analysis and further modify their preparation strategy to get an edge in the JEE Main 2019 merit list.
