The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has released the information brochure for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024. Interested individuals can access the JAM 2024 information brochure on the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in. The JAM examination is conducted for admission to a variety of programs, including MSc, MSc (Technology), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MS (Research), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc-PhD Dual Degree, and Integrated PhD across different institutes. The brochure serves as a comprehensive guide providing details about the examination, eligibility criteria, application process, and more.

In order to seek admission to their preferred program, candidates need to clear the relevant test paper, fulfill the eligibility requirements (ERs), and meet the minimum educational qualifications (MEQs) specified for the respective academic programs. Those candidates who have either completed or are slated to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree in 2024 are eligible to participate in JAM 2024.
The IIT JAM 2024 is scheduled to take place on February 11. This examination covers seven distinct subjects: biotechnology (BT), chemistry (CY), economics (EN), geology (GG), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS), and physics (PH).
The question paper for IIT JAM 2024 will comprise three sections, encompassing multiple-choice questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ), and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. Successful candidates in JAM 2024 will be eligible to apply for approximately 3,000 seats across various IITs for the academic year 2024-25.
Remarkably, no additional evaluation processes like suitability tests or interviews are required for admission to programs in admitting institutes under JAM 2024, as affirmed in the IIT JAM 2024 information brochure. Additionally, JAM 2024 scores will be applicable for admission to more than 2,000 seats at IISc and for counseling through CCMN, thus broadening the scope of its impact.
