JAM 2024: IIT Madras To Open Application Window Tomorrow, Check Details
The IIT Madras will conduct the JAM 2024 Exam on February 11, 2023.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT Madras) will start the online application process for the IIT JAM 2024 Exam. The application window and link to register for the exam on the official website - jam.iitm.ac.in. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam will be able to submit their IIT JAM 2024 registration cum application forms on the official website from tomorrow onwards. The IIT Madras will release the admit cards for the exam on January 8, 2024, while the JAM 2024 Exam is slated to be conducted on February 11, 2023.
A national-level entrance exam conducted by the IITs every year, the JAM (Joint Admissions Test for Masters) aims at shortlisting suitable candidates for various postgraduate programmes like M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech.), MS (Research), M.Sc. - M. Tech Dual Degree, Joint M.Sc. - Ph.D., and M.Sc. - Ph.D. Dual Degree offered by the IITs. Approximately 3,000 seats shall be on offer for admissions through the JAM 2024 exam.
Notably, the IIT Madras wil conduct the JAM 2024 Exam for seven papers. AT the time of applying for the exam, interested candidates will be able to appear for a maximum of two papers. The application fee for JAM 2024 for one paper is Rs 900 for Female, SC/ ST/ PwD candidates and Rs 1,900 for all other candidates. Similarly, the application fee for two papers for Female, SC/ ST/ PwD candidates is Rs 1,250, and Rs 2,500 for all other candidates.
To apply for the JAM 2024 Exam, candidates must have passed their undergraduate programmes from a recognized university in the concerned subject they wish to seek postgraduate admission in. Those who are currently in the final year of their undergraduate program are also eligible to apply for the JAM 2024 Exam. However, such candidates must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of their selected programme of study by the respective institute.
