The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a nationally administered entrance examination conducted annually by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam serves as a gateway for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered by central universities. In this article, we will analyse the CUET exam conducted on May 16, 2024.

CUET UG Paper Analysis 2024:

Economics: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Shift 1A)

The CUET 2024 Economics paper featured a difficulty level ranging from easy to moderate, with questions well-distributed across various chapters of the syllabus. This distribution ensured a comprehensive assessment of candidates’ understanding of a broad spectrum of economic concepts and theories. The questions encompassed a variety of themes and topics, including the applications of economic principles, theoretical knowledge, case studies illustrating real-world scenarios, numerical problem-solving, and chronological developments in economic history.

Approximately 50% of the questions were of moderate difficulty, 40% were easy, and 10% were difficult. Notably, microeconomics had a higher weightage than other sections of this paper. The questions typically included 10 fill-in-the-blank questions, 5 arrange-in-the-correct-order questions, 5 choose-the-correct-statements questions, 4 match-the-columns questions, 10 comprehension-based questions, and the remaining single-correct-answer questions.
