CUET UG 2024 Registration To Begin Soon; Eligibility, Pattern Here

CUET UG 2024 Registration: Interested candidates will be able to apply online on the official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to begin the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for Undergraduate (UG) 2024 courses soon. Once the application begins, candidates will be able to fill out the registration form on the official website at cuet.samarth.ac.in. According to the recently released official notification, the CUET UG 2024 examination is scheduled to take place in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 15 to May 31. However, the exam will have different time slots on each date.

CUET UG 2024: Eligibility

The notification states that there is no age limit for appearing in the CUET UG examination. Unreserved candidates applying for CUET UG 2024 must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates from the SC and ST reserved categories can apply with a minimum of 45% marks in Class 12.

CUET UG 2024: Exam Pattern

As per the previous notification, the CUET UG 2024 question set will consist of four sections: Section 1A, Section 1B, Section 2and Section 3. These sections will cover different languages, domain-specific subjects and general tests. Each question will carry 5 marks, while every incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions will receive zero marks. The CUET UG 2024 examination will be available in CBT format, offering 13 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Urdu.

Speaking on this, Santosh (Content head) from the CUET UG preparation platform ExamFactor said, "CUET UG is an important exam for students preparing for India's premier colleges and therefore it is critical for students to check all the details of notification before starting to fill the form. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is an assessment administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to facilitate admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various central universities and other affiliated institutions.

In the current year, CUET will serve as the gateway for admissions into a wide array of programs offered by over 250 universities. These include central universities, state universities, deemed universities and private institutions. Candidates' performance in the CUET examination will determine their eligibility and admission prospects into the respective programs offered by these institutions.
