CSIR-UGC NET December 2023: NTA Extends Registration Deadline - Check New Schedule Here

Registered candidates will be able to make changes to their CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Applications from December 6 to December 8, 2023.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam. Interested candidates who are yet to register for the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam can submit their registration cum application forms for the exam till December 4, 2023, on the official website - csirnet.nta.ac.in. The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 1,100, while that for General-EWS/OBC (NCL) category candidates is Rs 550. However, the application fee for SC, ST, and third-gender category candidates is Rs 275. 

With the extension of the application deadline, the NTA will now host the application correction facility for registered candidates from December 6 to December 8, 2023. Candidates may note that the NTA will conduct the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam on December 26, 27, and 28, 2023. Admit cards for the exam will be available on the official website through candidate login, two days before the commencement of the exams. 

The NTA will conduct the CSIR-UGC NET December 2023 Exam for five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. The medium of the exam shall be bilingual with Hindi and English, both as the medium of the exam. 

Notably, Joint CSIR UGC NET is a test being conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria laid down by UGC. Online applications for JRF/NET are invited twice a year on all India basis through Press Notification of Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF and LS/AP.
