CBSE Board Exam 2024: Board Warns Against Fake Notice Regarding Change In Exam Dates

The CBSE has warned the students about a fake notification spreading on social media.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has strongly addressed a fake letter circulating on social media, falsely stating that the Class 12 board examinations were postponed due to the ongoing farmers' protest. CBSE has unequivocally refuted these baseless rumors, branding the viral letter as fraudulent and deceptive. The dissemination of this fake letter had caused unwarranted alarm among students and parents, prompting CBSE to intervene and clarify the situation.

The fake letter appears to be an official communication from the examination controller, seemingly directed to all principals and heads of institutions affiliated with CBSE. It falsely alleged that, due to the disruption caused by the farmers' protest, the Class 12 board exams had been postponed until further notice. The letter even provided details about the procedure for requesting changes in examination dates and centers.

However, the CBSE board promptly addressed the situation by issuing an official statement to debunk this hoax. They unequivocally denied any postponement of exams and advised students and parents to disregard the false claims being circulated.

On February 14, a day before the commencement of board exams for both Classes 10 and 12, the board issued a traffic advisory urging students and parents to depart early to ensure timely arrival at the exam centers.

Specifically addressing Delhi students, the advisory highlighted the potential for traffic disruptions due to ongoing protests and recommended utilizing the metro as an alternative mode of transportation to avoid road blockages.

CBSE Board Exams 2024 Guidelines:

- Students may carry a transparent clipboard and pencil box without writing or scribbling to the exam center.
- Use only blue ink for answering; red ink and other colored inks, including black, are not permitted.
- Admit card printouts are mandatory; no other papers or sheets are allowed.
- Diabetic students or those with medical conditions can bring a small packet of food/biscuits to the examination hall.
- Allowed items include pens, water bottles, transparent clipboards, small sanitizer bottles, and masks specified on the CBSE Admit Card.
- Smartwatches, mobile phones, Bluetooth speakers, and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited.
- Students should wear their school uniforms to the exam centers.
