'Politicising Crime Has Become A Habit These Days': Delhi L-G On Kejriwal's Letter Over Spurt In Murders
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has said that "politicizing crime...does subject the victim and their family to avoidable agony, apart from encouraging crime".
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has written a letter to the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressing concerns over the law and order situation in the national capital. The LG warned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal against "politicising crime," adding it gives no answer. Despite the vigil, criminality, according to Saxena, has occurred. His letter comes only hours after it was revealed that Kejriwal had sent a letter to Saxena on June 19, stressing the "alarming" increase in crime and recommending a meeting between the LG and the Cabinet, news agency PTI reported.
Earlier, CM Kejriwal had written a letter to LG over the "deteriorating" law and order situation in the national capital, and held the L-G and Home Minister responsible for the condition.
