Nikki Yadav Murder Case: Delhi Court Extends Judicial Custody Of Sahil, 5 Others For 14 Days
Apart from Sahil, five other people were arrested by the police last month including his father Virendra Singh on the charges of helping him in the conspiracy.
New Delhi: Dwarka court has extended the judicial custody of Sahil Gahlot and five others in connection with the Nikki Yadav murder case, reported news agency ANI. According to the police, Sahil’s father knew that his son had allegedly killed Nikki. The other four people arrested were Sahil’s cousins Ashish and Naveen and two friends Amar and Lokesh.
All the accused were thoroughly interrogated and arrested after verifying and ascertaining their roles, Special CP Crime Branch Ravinder Yadav Police said, adding Naveen is a Constable in Delhi Police. and that further investigation was underway.

23-year-old Nikki Yadav was allegedly strangled to death by her 24-year-old boyfriend Sahil Gehlot who stuffed her body inside a refrigerator of his dhaba (eatery) in southwest Delhi and went off to marry another woman the same day, according to the police.
The accused had deleted all the data including WhatsApp chats between them on Yadav’s phone, the report stated, adding that Delhi Police Crime Branch was examining CCTV footage of Uttam Nagar-Nizamuddin-Kashmere Gate.

As per an ANI report, accused Sahil Gehlot and Nikki Yadav got married in a temple in Noida in October 2020. Sahil's family was unhappy with their marriage and fixed his wedding in December 2022 while hiding the fact from the girl's family that Sahil had already married Nikki.
Nikki's killing came to light on Valentine’s Day on February 14 and it was on the instance of the accused that Yadav's body was recovered on Tuesday morning from the refrigerator at the eatery, four days after the murder.
