After two days of heavy rain in Delhi, visuals of a flooded Bharat Mandapan, the venue for India's G20 Summit, went viral with the Congress leaving no opportunity to wade into the issue amid the ongoing tussle over no invitation to party chief Mallikarjun Kharge.
Sharing the visual of the flooded venue on Twitter, which also showed people working to pump out water from the venue, Youth Congress chief Srinivas BV took a jibe at the Centre saying 'Vikas [Development] was swimming -- referring to the Centre's promises of development and the famous party slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.

The G20 Summit, chaired by New Delhi, was a success for the country as the African Union became a member of the group under the country's push for the 'Global South' and the New Delhi Declaration was adopted with consensus on the Ukraine war even as it did not blame Russia directly.
Delhi received a fresh spell of rain on Saturday, Day 1 of the global sumitt, and the showers continued the next day resulting in water logging in several parts of the national capital. This amid the already heightened security and traffic restrictions in the national capital in the wake of the summit.
This morning, the global leaders also visited Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi amid as the incessant rainfall continued.
Meanwhile, the flooded visuals from the venue led to reactions from politicans and netizens. While the opposition attacked the Centre, people also shared funny takes.
However, the showers managed to keep the temperature in the national capital in check with the minimum temperature settling at 23.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday -- two notches below the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD said Delhi recorded 39 mm of rainfall till 8:30 am.
